Erich Vogel

In the shadowy corners of the music scene thrives Erich Vogel, a maestro known to The/Theys as their enigmatic keyboardist, 'Blue.' His journey began in the regimented world of classical piano, but a creative restlessness soon led him to the wild, unfettered freedom of improvisation. As a founding member from October 2022 to September 2025, Erich brought this eclectic energy to the band, carving out an untethered path on keys and bending the rules with his signature ability to transform his instrument into a blistering electric guitar.

Now, this sonic craftsman continues his work as a solo artist and a highly collaborative force in the music community. Drawing on influences from McCoy Tyner to Medeski Martin & Wood and blending them with his own agile touch, he creates intricate musical mosaics that defy convention.
