Something Else Is Coming

The Oracle
August 21, 2026

Today we get to hand you something we've been holding onto for a while. "Blossomed" is out now, everywhere you listen.

This one started with a simple, stubborn phrase: Something Else is Coming. We kept singing it until we believed it. The song looks back four years at a version of ourselves that grew by keeping quiet, holding our mouths shut, waiting on other people before we ever learned to wait on ourselves. And then it looks at what grew anyway. Something else blossomed between us. That's the whole story, really. Ryan Arnold put it on the cover better than we can say it: two bright blooms standing up out of a tangle of wilted ones. Nothing new grows without something old dying back first.

Sonically, it's the warmest thing we've made. A steady, hypnotic Americana/Soul groove with Drew Keeve's viola threading through the guitars, Mike Sasich on lead guitar (and behind the board mixing), and Nathan Simpson holding down the bass. We recorded it at Recording Club with Darren Farnsworth and Broox Watson producing, Darren engineering, and Daniel Young on mastering. It's a lot of hands for one flower, and you can hear every one of them in there.

If you've ever come out the other side of a few hard years and realized you weren't the same person who walked in, this song is for you. Open up and bleed a little with us.

Listen now: "Blossomed" is streaming on all platforms and available for purchase and download, so you can own it, keep it, and play it long after the algorithm moves on.

See it live: We're playing Grid City Music Fest tomorrow, Saturday, August 22, in Salt Lake City. First chance to hear "Blossomed" the day after it enters the world. Come blossom with us.
